Pakistani bridal & trousseau Shopify theme — Mayun, Mehndi, Nikah, Baraat, Walima.
Pakistani bridal couture houses and MENA wedding-wear ateliers selling 30–500 high-AOV SKUs (USD 400 – 8,000) that need an editorial, event-by-event trousseau story.
Pakistani bridal commerce is the highest-AOV slice of the ethnic market — globally exported, family-decided, multi-event. Mehfil is the first Shopify theme written natively for that buyer.
Mehfil is the only Shopify theme with templates and section vocabulary purpose-built around the Pakistani wedding event sequence. Trousseaux are composed event by event — not garment by garment.
Catalog sizes of 30–500 with editorial product pages, set-based purchasing, and decision-document layouts buyers screenshot and share in family WhatsApp groups.
Native pairing of editorial English serif and Noto Nastaliq Urdu, with an optional Arabic Naskh layer for MENA wedding clients (Gulf, Levant, North Africa).
A dedicated Made-to-Measure inquiry template with WhatsApp number capture, garment auto-fill, event date, sketch upload — no third-party app required.
Architecturally unique sections, an editorial product page, bilingual typography baked in, and app-block hooks where merchants need them. No filler.
Products grouped as wedding-event looks (Mehndi look, Walima evening, Baraat arrival). Single hero, multi-product, "Shop the look" native add-to-cart that submits all items in one POST. Surfaces on home, collection, and product pages.
A dedicated collection.trousseau.json that renders a collection as a long-form editorial story, interleaved with editorial product rows. Chapter intros keyed to Mayun, Mehndi, Nikah, Baraat and Walima.
page.mtm-inquiry.json template + Liquid form section. Captures name, email, WhatsApp, garment, event date, city, sketch upload, language preference. Posts to Shopify's native contact endpoint with custom metadata.
Product page block backed by a Shopify metaobject — name, region, craft technique (Zardozi, Multani gota, Mukaish, Hala block-print), portrait, bio. Tells the karigar story buyers actually want.
Bilingual headline section pairs an editorial serif with Noto Nastaliq Urdu. Optional Arabic Naskh font picker for MENA preset. Typographic pairing only — does not switch page direction.
Asymmetric 6-tile image grid with product/collection hotspots. Designed for zardozi detail, mogra (jasmine) buds, jali shadow play, jhumka close-ups — the editorial vocabulary of Pakistani bridal.
100vh portrait-image hero with overlaid serif headline and optional Urdu Nastaliq pairing. Fades on scroll. Mobile reflows to 110vh with copy below image.
Per-product editorial care guidance — zardozi care, lawn vs. raw silk vs. jamawar storage instructions. Beats a generic care-label dump.
Vertical thumbnail gallery (3D + video supported), serif title, bilingual headline, variant swatches, Shop Pay Installments banner, app-block + Custom Liquid placeholders, Heritage Provenance, Drape & Care.
4-color scheme with paired bg/fg pairs. Mehfil (ivory + maroon + antique gold) and Mehfil Noir (charcoal + champagne + rose-gold). Two more variants ship in v1: Henna terracotta, Champagne pale gold.
Optional product.bridal.json preset adds a Couture Commission CTA that links bridal PDPs straight into the Made-to-Measure inquiry template, with the product auto-attached.
Main product + featured product sections expose @app blocks. Drops in the SMB Product Add-ons & Size Chart app cleanly — and any other Shopify app that targets product page blocks.
Look sets, trousseau chapters, artisan provenance, mood and moodboard tiles — every section is designed by merchandisers who understand the category.
Mehfil is a Skeleton-based theme — install it via Shopify CLI for development or upload the zipped theme through Online Store → Themes → Add theme for production.
shopify theme dev --store your-dev-store.myshopify.com from the theme directory for hot-reload development.@app blocks on the main product section.Mehfil ships four 4-color schemes with paired background/foreground pairs for header, body, button and accent surfaces. All schemes meet Shopify's contrast requirements (4.5:1 body, 3:1 large + non-text).
#F6EFE0, deep maroon #5B0E1B, antique gold #B9893E, ink #1B1410.#D4A36E, champagne accents — for evening / Walima-led brands. The header and footer ship as section groups, so merchants can add, remove or reorder blocks without forking the theme. Header behavior is configurable: Sticky, Sticky-on-scroll-up, or Static.
The home page is built from JSON-defined sections — every one editable in the Theme Editor.
The default templates/index.json ships with the order below.
The Look-Set Composer (sections/look-set-showcase.liquid) is the architecturally unique
section that lets merchants group products into a single styled "look". Each look carries up to
6 products and renders a "Shop the look" button that adds every product in one POST.
look-set-context).items[] add-to-cart API; failed items surface a per-product error inline.
The trousseau collection template (templates/collection.trousseau.json) renders a
collection as a long-form editorial story keyed to the Pakistani wedding sequence — chapter
intros interleaved with editorial product rows.
The PDP is editorial-first. The main product section ships with all required Shopify blocks
plus Mehfil's editorial additions — Heritage Provenance, Drape & Care, bilingual headline.
An optional product.bridal.json preset adds a Couture Commission CTA below.
@app block, Custom Liquid, Heritage Provenance, Drape & Care.look-set-context (if the product is in a look), related-products, complementary-products, optional couture-commission-cta (bridal preset).product.bridal.json per product via Theme template picker — adds couture commission CTA linking to the MTM inquiry page with the product pre-attached.
The Heritage Provenance block is fed by a Shopify metaobject definition called
artisan. Define it once under Settings → Custom data → Metaobjects, then
reference it from each product.
artisan with fields name (single line text), region (single line text), craft_technique (single line text), portrait (file), bio (rich text).product.metafield('details', 'artisan') — metaobject reference. The bilingual-headline section pairs an English headline (chosen serif) with an Urdu headline rendered in Noto Nastaliq Urdu. hero, form, FAQ accordion. Linked from PDPs via the Couture Commission CTA (bridal preset).
linked_product_id, event_date, whatsapp_number.Cart type is configurable from theme settings: Drawer (default), Page, or Notification. The drawer ships with a sticky subtotal panel, free-shipping progress bar, and Shop Pay Installments banner.
